The Next 40 Days

The Next 40 Days

If someone died, then came back from the dead and spent 40 days with you, how would you embrace them? How would you take on board what they told you about what you needed to succeed in this life? Would you pay attention to everything they said and did in this time, especially if that person was someone special to you, a relative, friend or even the greatest mentor you ever had? Well I’m sure you would, as it would mean that pride ruled your heart if you wouldn’t give attention to what they wanted to deposit into your life, especially if you knew they only had 40 days with you.

We see an account where Luke referred to his previous accounts in the book of Acts. “to whom he also presented himself alive after his suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.” Acts 1:3 NKJV

This is exactly what happened with Jesus after the resurrection. He spent 40 days with His disciples and other witnesses. The interesting thing is that, Jesus continued His predominant message of which He had started from the time He was water baptised by John the Baptist. Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God. Now we need to understand, that Christianity has little to do with religion, despite what so many have made it about to be, but rather it is about a Ruler of a Kingdom existing in two realms at the same time. The Kingdom of God refers to God’s ways and methods of doing things in accordance to His word, character and purpose. If the Church of Jesus Christ actually understood this, it would operate in an authority which is “out of this world”, no pun intended.

I believe Jesus was saying and demonstrating that if the world would adapt and implement God’s ways we would reproduce God’s results. In other words we would facilitate heaven on earth. “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” The last time I checked, there was no sickness, disease, demonic oppression, financial depressions or lack, strife, gossip or anything else that hindered us from experiencing the Life of Abundance that Jesus spoke about, in heaven. So my question to you is, is your reality a mirror image to heaven? Does your life mirror the word of God and display its results or fruits?

In this 40 day period that Jesus walked the earth, He highlighted and exposed false witnesses, compromise, the need for believers to Worship Him in Spirit and Truth and allows our lifestyle to be one of worship rather than an event once a week, month, quarter or even a year.  Jesus revealed the need for us to walk in Truth as according to the word of God.

For us as believers to truly walk in the authority He has called us to walk in, we had better understand, know, and apply God’s ways of doing and being right. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV. Matthew says that if we do things God’s way, we are guaranteed a life of increases, provision, wholeness in every area. Whatever your need is, these needs will be met each time regardless of physical, emotional or spiritual.

Remember when Jesus died and went into hell and stripped hell from its power, why did He do this? So He could hand that power back over to the Church, the Body of Christ, Believers of Jesus. “and I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19 NKJV

Brother Hagen, Jerry Savelle, Kenneth Copeland, Charles Capps, Creflo Dollar and so many others, have all preached and taught on Mark 11:23 “if you say to this mountain” (demon, sickness, disease, lack, resistance), for years now. It has nothing to do with “name it, claim it”, but everything to do with a Kingdom system and principles to operate in. You and I are a part of this Kingdom and we have been given jurisdiction to operate in it, and experience the Kingdom of God’s support, backing, provision and manifestations in our lives and the areas of those around you.

Why do you think Jesus taught us model prayer, “thy kingdom come on earth, thy will be done”. We have the Keys to the Kingdom of God and have authority to lock hell up and unlock heaven on our earth. Our families, homes, churches, businesses and communities. Don’t permit anything less than what Gods word says you can have or walk in. If it says you can have peace, pursue peace, if it says abundance; claim it by faith, if its healing take it by force. Whatever the Word of God says you can walk in, walk in it unapologetically, by faith and in confidence knowing that you are taking hold of that what Jesus took time to talk about while on earth.

Remember, to operate in the Kingdom of God requires walking in obedience, willingness and faith. God is able to reverse dead situations. Don’t allow doubt, unbelief and looking back make you miss out what He has for your tomorrow. You can’t base your tomorrows on your now, but you can guarantee your tomorrow by what you believe today in accordance to the Word of God.  Seek first the Kingdom of God, His way of doing things and being right. By this you will unlock God’s best for your life and those around you. May God bless you, keep you and cause His face to shine upon you.
