Compassion, Generosity, and Kindness Becomes Someone Else’s MIRACLE

Hands of Compassion, Heritage of Faith’s charity arm received a call to see if we could help with any furniture or household goods. Even though furniture is not something Hands of Compassion normally does, we felt prompted to engage this lady in conversation to learn more about her circumstances.

Separated from her husband due to domestic violence, this single Mum of the most delightful little girls (an eight and a twelve year old) was relocating south of Brisbane for their own safety and protection.

Prior to moving, they had been sleeping on friend’s couches and living in shelters since leaving their home in September 2016.

Apart from their clothes and a few personal items, their total possessions consisted of a toaster, a couple of plates and a few pieces of cutlery. But God is faithful and always provides a way for those willing to trust Him.

He blessed this young family with a Department of Housing unit which they were moving in at the end of that week, but they had no kitchenware to speak of, no furniture, white goods or linen.

After sharing this story in the office and listening to the Lord, the people at Hands of Compassion agreed to bless the family with an array of brand new linen and kitchenware which included a microwave, electric kettle, slow cooker, electric frypan and an emergency food hamper.

At the weekly church prayer meeting, Pastor Diane shared this touching story and the great needs of this family with the church. God wasn’t even close to being finished yet. The very next day, while meeting with another pastor and his wife, a lady from our church was offered all the furniture needed to set this family up. This finished up including a near new Fisher and Paykel washing machine!

Now… all they needed to put the icing on the cake was a fridge and maybe a TV!

The precious women of Her Heritage Ladies group came together and decided that this young Mum should have a ‘brand new’ fridge. So, they “passed the hat around” and Praise God, they blessed them with a new fridge the day after she moved in! And then another compassionate couple from our church graciously donated a flat screen TV in perfect condition. As you would expect, the two little girls were ‘over the moon’, especially the eight year old who couldn’t wait to watch the news!

Praise God – what started out as just a simple phone call that wasn’t going anywhere, resulted in a needy family being greatly blessed by God’s precious, faithful and generous children.

Hands of Compassion, supported by our Heritage of Faith Church members, were delighted to be involved and extend a heartfelt thanks to all who helped to bless this family and make ‘a miracle’possible.

Thinking the Right Way

The story is told of two buckets that spent their days going continually up and down in a well. As they passed each other the happy bucket would cheerily call out, “Good Morning, Mr Bucket!”, whilst the other bucket, who was always crying and complaining, would groan, “What’s good about it?” Time and again the friendly bucket would make excited, happy comments only to be met with a disgruntled response from his counterpart.

One day the happy bucket sympathetically asked, “Tell me little bucket, you always seem so sad and forlorn, why are you so unhappy?” The response was, “I am sick of it! It doesn’t matter how full I come up, I always go down empty. Anyway, what have you got to be so cheerful about?” “Oh, that’s easy,” replied the happy bucket, “You see it doesn’t matter how empty I go down, I always come up full!”

What sort of bucket are you?

Philippines 4:8—Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Remember, we have an awesome destiny to fulfil.

Guest Speaker: Ps Cindi Windle

Her Heritage welcomes Ps Cindi Windle to be our very special guest speaker at the Her Heritage High Tea on Saturday 15th July at the Sofitel Broadbeach. 

Find out about Ps Cindi:

Being raised in the church and daughter of prophetic ministers, Cindi grew up with a love for God, His house and His people. From a young age she felt the call to pastor and has a heart to see people living a blessed life with Jesus.

Cindi has been actively involved in the church all her life, from serving in the church café with her Grandma at age 3, to leading small groups and serving as an associate pastor and youth pastor since age 18. Cindi has a Bachelor of Education and taught high school students for 3 years. Not only did she enjoy teaching them in the natural, but loved being able to help and guide them in their personal and spiritual lives as well.

Cindi is highly active in the church, leading worship on Sundays, pastoring the women, and serving those in need in the community.

Her 3 sons Houston, Benjamin, and Jameson are the joy of her life and Cindi absolutely loves her role as a Mummy.

Free from Fear

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear. (Psalm 27:1 and John 4:18V)

There are no circumstances under which you can afford to allow fear into your mind or heart. If given entrance, fear will neutralize your faith and open the door for the devil to work in your life.

There is a spiritual correlation between faith and fear:

1. Faith activates God, fear activates satan
2. Faith is the substance of things hoped for; fear is the substance of things dreaded
3. Faith is the spiritual force that works for you; fear is the spiritual force that works against you

Fear is never to be tolerated; it is to be cast out by the perfect love of God. Meditating on the love God has for you is the most effective way to put a stop to fear-filled thoughts. God is your loving heavenly Father, all of His plans and intentions for you are for good and for blessing.

Confess: Holy Spirit, I ask you to expose any fear that may reside in my heart. I choose to cast out fear with the perfect love of God as I meditate on His Word and fill my heart with faith

Believing Has No Limits

Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive (Matt 21:21-22).

Jesus is telling us that with God, there are no limits. He is saying you can have whatever you ask for if you simply believe. The only thing that limits what God can and will do is your belief system. It’s that simple.

The good news is: God has already given you the ability to control your future and destiny. If you’ve made Jesus the Lord of your life, then the life you live is not a hit-and-miss experiment. You have been granted access to the things you desire through your ability to believe God. You tap into the limitless miracle power of God by having faith, not doubting, and believing the Word of God.

Whatever it is you are believing for, God has promised in His Word that it can and will happen when you believe. So, create a new life for yourself; be all you were created to be; live your dream by doing what Jesus said to do – SIMPLY BELIEVE.

You Are Gods Special Treasure

You are somebody special to God. Why? Because the blood of Jesus has dealt with every sin and failure that you ever committed and experienced, or that you ever will com- mit and experience.

Religion doesn’t teach that you are special. Religion wants you to remain “sin conscious,” meaning you are acutely aware of your short- comings before a holy God. While it’s true that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, this is the very reason Jesus had to come.

The blood of Jesus washed away every bit of sin and failure in your life—past, present, and future. As far as God is concerned, you are now holy, blameless and above reproach in His sight. You are God’s special treasure, whether you feel like it or not! Deuteronomy 7:6

Religion causes you to focus on your inade- quacy and failure, when you should be focus- ing on the blood of Jesus and all that He did for you. If you have received Jesus as your Saviour, you are not a worthless sinner. If you were, then the blood of Jesus didn’t work. I would never say the blood of Jesus didn’t work, because it did work!
