Guest Speaker Judith Faauli Seko

We are very privileged to have Judith Faauli Seko from First Love Jesus Ministries with us as our guest speaker at our Her Heritage Ladies breakfast on Saturday 28th March @ 9.00am. Judith also leads the Prayer Team at Kenneth Copeland Ministries Australia. Judith will be speaking on Prayer & Confessions.

Judith Faauli moved from Auckland, New Zealand to Brisbane in 2014 and it was here, that she experienced her first love encounter with Jesus. She is the Co-Founder and Co-Pastor of First Love Jesus Ministries with her husband Kilani, a ministry which operates in a two-fold function: evangelical and missional. The mandate of their ministry is being “Sent by the One, for the one”, and they use every opportunity of outreach to share the love of God to the ‘one’: prisoners, homeless, drug-addicts, alcoholics, widows, orphans and all who are yet to know Jesus. Her life is dedicated to raising up women of faith in taking their rightful place as the crown of creation.

As an articulate communicator of the Word of God, she moves in the gifts of exhortation and discernment, and the anointing of faith-filled prayer. She firmly believes in the demonstrative power of God’s Word spoken and released in faith. Her passion for the cause of Christ is emanant through her fashion of teaching: bible-based with transparency, warmth and strength. Her love for God and His people is evident in, and through all she puts her hands and heart to. Until kingdom come, Judith is on mission to make Jesus known to all the world.

Prayer & Fasting 2020

Sunday past we have just had Vision Sunday 2020. It was a great time to reflect on our Church DNA, 2019 wins, as well as what we are believing for 2020. This week is Prayer and Fasting Week.

In Matthew chapter 6 verse 1-17, Jesus touched on 3 keys areas in the life of His disciples which is relevant for us as believers today in 2020. He said when you GIVE, when you PRAY and when you FAST. This was not an “if”, rather a “when”. This tells me that in Jesus’ mind and heart, these three acts are to be incorporated into a believer’s lifestyle and should not be a foreign practice amongst believers today.

2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

We need to seek God in Unity as a Church in what I believe is a crucial season in the life of the church, to take hold in the Spirit of everything God has for us as a Church and individuals. Denouncing every evil work and scheme that the enemy has released to try hold us back.

Join us this week in a time to set aside our agendas and press into our Lord’s agenda in the life of our Church family.

We will be at our Church auditorium each evening from 7pm-8pm, Monday through Thursday, praying over specific topics that the Lord laid on my heart to be focused on each day on. Below is an outline of the specific areas we will be focused on each day as a church family, in one accord, one mind and one heart.

“Where there is Unity, God will pour out the Blessing.”

As a Man Thinks

PROVERBS 23:7 NKJV “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he….

The writer of Proverbs was making a statement, in summary he was saying that your life is a byproduct of your thought life, in other words what are you thinking about? What do you allow to hover around in your mind all day? I think it was Joyce Meyer who wrote a book, Think about what you thinking about.” Do you think about what you thinking about? The enemy will want nothing more than to find a way to hold your mind and thoughts captive. What’s in your mind will drop in your heart and what’s in the heart comes out your mouth. This begins to shape your world.

It’s crucial to guard your heart as well as guard your mind.

John Maxwell said; “YOUR LIFE TODAY IS A RESULT OF YOUR THINKING YESTERDAY. YOUR LIFE TOMORROW WILL BE DETERMINED BY WHAT YOU THINK TODAY.”

ROMANS 12:1-2 (NKJV) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

The word conformed means; “to follow worldly patterns, ways of thinking/doing or the lusts of the world.”

The Bible instructs transformation. The word transformed literally or figuratively means “METAMORPHOSE”: to change, transfigure, transform. The same process a caterpillar would go through to become a beautiful butterfly is the process expected that we as believers must go through. In other words there must be change both internally and externally in our lives demonstrating and confirming our born again experience.

We are expected to take on another form and to appear different. We should be seen to be disciples of Christ, Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven.

This transformation can only come by the renewing of our minds. Not based on society, friends and families opinions, but what the living Word of God says and has put in motion.

Salvation is free, God’s grace & mercy can’t be earned however, to have an abundant life fulfilling all God has, requires us renewing our minds, to put off the old, and to put on our “new nature” in Christ. To be transformed more and more each day, requires us to see things the way God sees and to do things God’s ways, the Kingdom’s ways, and not ours (the world’s).

May God bless you, equip you, empower you and help you to become more like our Lord and Saviour every day.

Cast Your Cares

Are you stressed out, worried and filled with anxiety? Are you always worried about tomorrow, the next day, what someone will say, what’s going to happen? Listen, STOP, take a breath, and know God loves YOU and is for YOU. His plans are of good and not evil. You just need to Seek His Kingdom and His way of doing things first and all things will work out for the good!

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry (KJV = take no thought) about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” Matthew‬ ‭6:25-34‬ ‭NKJV

The word worry or (take no thought) means don’t be anxious about things or stop taking thought. Satan’s plan is to keep you so distracted and pre-occupied in mind that it steals your peace, joy but above all hinders you from hearing the voice of God.

Verse 30 says “now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, o you of little faith?”

Isn’t it interesting that God uses the vast fields that are covered and display His Glory saying, the grass and fields are seasonal, temporary, yet you and I are eternal, set aside for fellowship and intimacy with God, yet God asks us the question, “Will He not much more clothe you? In other words, wouldn’t God want to meet your needs in abundance, whether Financial, Emotional, Physical or Spiritual?”

Don’t be known as one of little faith! Become the Son or Daughter of God in whom Faith is found, one whom trusts and relies on God’s faithfulness.

Make a decision today, to let go of worry and anxieties! Stop being ruled by Fear(s) or intimidation.

Faith is lifestyle on which includes a journey which requires 1 day at a time, 1 solution at a time, line upon line, precept upon precept. You need your “G.E.D” – God Encounter Daily! Be expectant for God to show up, even if it seems impossible. We serve a God of impossibles! A God of Miracles! A God of Promises! A God of Track Record!

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6-9‬ ‭NKJV

Don’t lose your peace about tomorrow, instead pray, speak the Word, stand on God’s promises and in no time, God will move on your behalf. Let peace guard your hearts and minds. Don’t let the enemy in your mind! Don’t let him break your spirit. Stand!

Prayer & Peace are closely linked. Meditating on the Word activates peace, speaking the Word activates peace.

God says you are blessed in the city and blessed in the field, you are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath.  God shall supply all your needs according to His riches.

Heavenly Language

The Bible says don’t neglect things of the spirit & our salvation.

“Therefore we must give the more earnest heed (take notice, pay attention) to the things we have heard, lest we drift away for if the word spoken through angels (mosaic law) proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?”
Hebrews ‭2:1-4‬ (‭NKJV)

We are warned to take heed to what we have heard, to what has been preached and what has been placed in the Word of God for our lives.

There were 3 facts that has confirmed everything, everything was;
1. Spoken by Jesus (The Word),
2. Confirmed by the Apostles through testimonies, witnessing and miracles,
3. Witness by ministry of Holy Spirit through signs, wanders, miracles and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus spoke of our heavenly language and the Holy Spirit verified it in;

‘and these signs will follow those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; ……’ Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)

Speaking in other tongues or heavenly languages is a promise from Jesus Himself. This is for ALL BELIEVERS! This has nothing to do with a denominational issue but rather a spiritual promise.

We see the promise at Pentecost (Holy Spirit poured out) upon all who were present, expectant and full of faith. See Acts 2:1-4. All present were filled with the Holy Spirit, spoke with other tongues (gifts) as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Tongues was prophesied about by Isaiah;

‘for with stammering lips and another tongue he will speak to this people,’
Isaiah 28:11 (NKJV)

So this is a God thing, a Spirit filled believer thing, not a denominational thing!

Tongues is a gift, from God to us so that we can communicate mysteries to God. It’s like a two way radio, only that cant be intercepted by the enemy. See 1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:2‬ (‭NKJV).‬‬ Your heavenly language is a language of Worship, Intercession and Personal edification. It is a heavenly weapon and tool for us.

‘but you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the holy spirit, ‘Jude 1:20 (AMP)

Praying in spirit is part of the armour of God (see Ephesians 6). It helps us pray in weakness, it helps us pray when we don’t know what to and also helps us pray God’s perfect will.

The Apostle Paul concluded that;

‘what is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and i will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and i will also sing with the understanding. I thank my god i speak with tongues more than you all; ‘ 1 Corinthians 14:15,18 (NKJV)

Church, let’s not be ignorant of the things of the Spirit that have been given to us so that we can live victorious lives as well as walk in the Kingdom authority we have been called to. See 1 Corinthians 12:1.

Next Week at Church

Just an update about what is going on this coming week at church.

The Gold Coast Victory Campaign with Kenneth Copeland and Jerry Savelle is finally here. We are expectant for a move of God during this conference and we if you have not yet registered there is still time. Head over to https://kcm.org.au/gcvc19 TODAY!

We just wanted to keep you up to date with what is happening at the church this coming week.

Our offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday as all the staff will be at the Gold Coast Convention Centre during this time.

There will be NO Tuesday evening or Thursday morning prayer meetings this week but we encourage you to still pray at home with your families and hold up the entire conference in prayer at this time.

There will be no Her Heritage Friday morning Thrive Group either due to the conference.

We will be back for church on Sunday morning as usual with a very special guest speaker Joshua Bulger from the USA. Joshua is the Senior Pastor of West Coast Believers Centre in California and also President of Chariots of Light California Chapter and a faithful supporter of Jerry Savelle Ministries. He is a dynamic preacher and we very much look forward to hearing what God has placed on his heart as he visits Australia.

The following week on Tuesday 17th & Wednesday 18th September the church offices will be closed again to give the staff some much needed rest.

Should you require any pastoral care assistance when our offices are closed please call your Pastor directly or the church emergency mobile on 0449 189 840. Please note that this number is for church emergencies assistance only.

Please let us know if we can do anything in the meantime.

Empowered by Holy Spirit

I believe we are in a season of dispensation where God wants His power demonstrated more than ever before in preparation for His return. It will take Signs, Wonders and Miracles to bring in souls because people are searching for solutions to real problems.

1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:2-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬  “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

The Apostle Paul did not Preach/Teach to show off his oratorical skills and draw attention to himself. He spoke with Fear and Trembling denoting the opposite of self-confidence. The demonstration of Spirit and Power not only refer to the fact that the miraculous accompanied Paul’s preaching, but also the Holy Spirit’s transforming power in the individual lives of the Corinthians at the time of conversion. This was far more than mere intellect conversion through human Wisdom, they encountered the Spirit Himself. Who demonstrated His presence in them and through them. (Various Gifts & Tongues)

God wants the same for His church today in this time and season we are in. There is a key though. That Key is we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit but not only filled, we need to know the Holy Spirit as He is the one whom Christ left for us to help us and guide us.

Jesus appeared to His disciples after the resurrection and told them exactly what was required from that point on.

‭‭LUKE‬ ‭24:49‬ ‭(AMP)‬‬ “Listen carefully: I am sending the Promise of My Father [the Holy Spirit] upon you;  but you are to remain in the city [of Jerusalem]  until you are clothed (fully equipped) with power from on high.”

JESUS INSTRUCTIONS WERE CLEAR – Wait & Expect.

We need to expect to be filled with the Holy Spirit when we are born again. Then we need to wait on the Holy Spirit and be expectant on a daily basis for Him to clothe us with power, use us and flow through us.

The pre-requisite requirements are that we require faith to receive as well as have a sense of expectancy. Its a promise – done (gift – free). May the Holy Spirit clothe you, empower you and use you as you walk in obedience and faith.
