Sue’s passion is to train, encourage and empower people in their life’s journey, and release them into the fullness of life.

As a pastor, mentor and teacher, she has a unique ability to identify potential in people that are often overlooked and walk alongside them as that potential comes to life.

Having spent more than 30 years in the education sector, including 17 years as an early childhood teacher, Sue’s professional expertise has been a significant driver in the development of Daughters of Promise ground-breaking experiential training. Her love of the creative arts has also strongly influenced the diverse and innovative programs.

In 2003 Sue founded Higher Ground Creative Ministry. Successfully running for over 12 years, Higher Ground trained, mentored and equipped young people in leadership and ministry using the creative arts. Many of those young people today are in leadership roles within our community.

She first wrote the Daughters of Promise program in 2006. It was borne out of her passion to see women healed, restored and embracing their purpose and destiny. Driven by the belief that you’re past does not define your future. Daughters of Promise champions women through a highly supported program as they learn about their unique worth and value. Each program creates a safe environment where they can experience healing love and acceptance, regardless of their journey.

In 2012 Significant Woman was first developed and delivered. Recognizing the need for intensive and focused training. Significant woman helps participants gain a greater clarity and empowerment around their purpose and call.

Sue has three adult sons, two beautiful “daughters in love”  twin grandchildren, and another precious grandson. She loves being part of raising the next generation.

Lana will also be preaching at our 9.30am service on Sunday 22nd October 2017.

Lana Vawser’s heart is to encourage believers in deeper intimacy with Him, equipping them to hear His voice, so they may have deeper revelation of who He is and their inheritance in Him.

Lana Vawser grew up in the Sutherland Shire, in NSW, Australia. She began her relationship with Christ in 1996, soon after which, she started to understand and grow in her prophetic gifting both to individuals and the greater body of Christ. Since then she has ministered in various roles in local churches, while posting prophetic messages through email lists or online. From 2014, Lana has been featured regularly on The Elijah List, The Australian Prophetic Council, and later Charisma Magazine.

Lana Vawser has a heart to encourage the body of Christ and individuals in their walks with Jesus; deeper intimacy with Him; and learning to hear His voice. Lana operates in the prophetic and loves to share the heart of God with others. In 2009, Lana wrote her first book titled “Desperately Deep – Developing Deep Devotion and Dialogue with Jesus”. She is a gifted prophet and teacher, and loves to see others grow in all that God has for them.

Lana has completed her Bachelor of Ministry through Tabor College, Sydney; and now resides in the Gold Coast Hinterlands, Queensland.

Kevin Vawser grew up in the Mclaren Vale region of South Australia, moving to Sydney in 2006, marrying Lana Vawser in 2007. Kevin completed his Bachelor of Ministry in 2013, and co-pastored a church with Lana for a time. Kevin continues to study towards a Masters in Ministry.

Kevin shares Lana’s heart to see others grow in their walks with Jesus, free in the knowledge of their inheritance in Him, in intimacy and devotion to Him, and hearing His voice in their daily relationship journey. Kevin is gifted prophetically, pastorally and with discernment. He is a natural teacher and journeyer in revelation. Kevin is technically minded and handles the administration and technology of the ministry.

Kevin left full time work in October 2015, and assists Lana in the ministry, in management and background support.

Kevin and Lana have two young boys, Elijah (born 2009) and Judah (born 2013). They attend Glory City Church (Kelvin Grove, Brisbane). They mostly journey and minister as a family, and hope to raise up other sons, daughters, mothers and fathers to journey with Christ in ministry and wonder.
