Special Guest – Tom Inglis

We have the very special privelege of having Tom Inglis with us this August for the weekend of 15th & 16th August.

Tom was appointed worship pastor of Rhema Bible Church in Johannesburg and experienced an amazing move of God from 1982 -1987, leading worship to thousands of people every week. In 1983 he had an unusual encounter with the Lord in his study for about forty minutes where the vision of Psalmody International was birthed. God told him to prepare course material [Psalmody International School of Worship], and make it available for local churches to teach worship as a way of life to their own congregations.

The School of Worship course material found its way into many denominations and has impacted many thousands of people in 40 nations since that time. In a recent book titled THE WORSHIPING YOU, he say’s WE NEED A REVOLUTION REGARDING WORSHIP THAT WILL TRANSFORM THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD. A SHIFT HAS COME AND IT’S RADICAL!

Tom has a sense of urgency to teach worship as a way of life to this generation and believes that Jesus will return for a people who are passionately in love with Him. “The vision is burning stronger than ever to raise up this generation as worshipers”, he said. He carries a prophetic word for the church that is powerfully anointed and undeniably relevant to all believers for the times in which we live.

In 2004 Tom and his family moved to Sydney to pioneer ‘Sydney Life Church’ in the Mosman/Neutral Bay area that continues to thrive. He still travels internationally to share the vision of what the end time worshiping church will look like. If you’re interested in a prophetic picture of what’s coming come and listen to what Tom has to share.

Tom will be holding some workshops on learning to enter into worship on Saturday 15th August at 10am. Tom will be preaching and joining the HFCC Worship team on the Sunday morning also. On the Sunday evening, there will be a worship night starting at 5pm with Tom and the HFCC Worship Team.

The Peace of God

This month at Heritage of Faith we celebrated our 13th Birthday and the Peace or Shalom of God that was with us in 2002 continues to be our portion today.

This is not peace as the world knows it, but represents the greatest measure of contentment and satisfaction in life. This is not an emotion or a feeling but comes through knowing the person of Jesus. The first time Shalom appears in the Bible is in connection with eternal peace (Gen 15:15). Shalom also means welfare (Gen 43:27), our good health (Gen 43:28), all is safe and well (2 Sam 18:28-29). Shalom is related to prosperity (Ps 35:27), to rest (Ps 38:3), wholeness (Deut 27:6) and fullness (Gen 15:16).

The Father is our peace through the Old Testament, Jesus is our Prince of Peace and the Holy Spirit produces the fruit of peace. You and I have no need to fear; after all, the Word of God tells us more than 350 times Fear not and today we can be at peace because the greater One rules and reigns in our lives.

May His Shalom, His Peace be upon you all and upon this house.

God Bless
